Mark 11

Today we are reading Mark 11. In this chapter we read about Jesus entering Jerusalem and the events from the beginning of His passion. The keyword for this chapter is “di-a-kri-no-mai”. The definition is “to hesitate, to doubt”. “Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”” Mark‬ ‭11:23-25‬ ‭ESV When Jesus spoke to His disciples He knew that they struggled with doubt. We also struggle with doubt. On the one hand, they were eyewitnesses to the many miracles He did, yet they still doubted. We have the Holy Scriptures describing and revealing God’s love and we still doubt. What can we do about our doubt? Focus on Jesus and His power and majesty and not on the problems and circumstances you face. Allow God to lift you and carry you through the tough times confess your doubt and ask for His help. May God remind you of His glorious victory in Jesus’ name! Pastor Tim
