Today we are reading Luke 5. In this chapter we read about Jesus calling the first disciples. The keyword for this chapter is “thel-o”. The definition is “to wish, to be willing”. “While he was in one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy. And when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged him, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him.”
Luke 5:12-13 ESV In this passage we read about the will of Jesus. He was willing to heal the man with leprosy. We don’t know if Jesus is willing to heal us from our various physical problems but we do know that He is always willing to heal of our sins. How is spiritual healing more important than physical healing? Are you willing to be healed of your sins? Are you willing to forgive others as you have been forgiven? May God bless you to live according to His will. Pastor Tim
