Today we are reading Luke 22. In this chapter we read about Jesus being arrested and on trial. “Now the men who were holding Jesus in custody were mocking him as they beat him. They also blindfolded him and kept asking him, “Prophesy! Who is it that struck you?” And they said many other things against him, blaspheming him.” Luke 22:63-65 ESV To think of Jesus being brutally abused by the soldiers is painful to contemplate. In another place, Jesus says that if someone mistreats us they mistreat Him. These things happen in this sinful world. In addition, God uses people to do His work on earth. So does the devil. How is God using you today? Who has the devil used to discourage you or cause you pain? May you rejoice that you are considered worthy to suffer in Jesus’ name! Pastor Tim
