Luke 21

Today we are reading Luke 21. In this chapter we read about Jesus’ final days of teaching in the Temple courts. His topic is the Second Coming or Judgement Day. “”But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”” Luke‬ ‭21:34-36‬ ‭ESV‬‬ As believers we know that Jesus will come again! As that time draws near, the enemy (the Devil), is more and more desperate in his attempts to persuade believers to chase after false gods and abandon their faith. How have you been tempted to set aside the things of God? How do the cares of this world fill up your thoughts and hinder you in your devotion to Jesus? Our Lord urges us to pray for strength to escape all these things. May God give you strength today and every day in Jesus’ name! Pastor Tim
