Today we are reading Luke 16. In this chapter Jesus continues to teach in parables and about being faithful. “”One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.””
Luke 16:10-13 ESV This is a curious teaching. You cannot serve God and money. How do you serve money? What is an appropriate way to view money? How can you make sure you are not serving money? The most pleasure that I derive from money is when I give it away! Using money to support ministries or help people makes me thankful my needs are well supplied by God. May God give you a spirit of generosity! Pastor Tim
