Today we are reading Luke 15. In this chapter Jesus teaches about the joy of Heaven when people repent. The keyword for this chapter is “di-a-go-gu-zo”. The definition is “to murmur, to murmur among themselves, throughout their whole company”. “Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”” Luke 15:1-2 ESV As Jesus teaches the masses are drawn. Included in the crowd are people rejected by the religious leaders. To this the leaders murmur, speaking against Jesus. In response to the murmurs, Jesus teaches parables. Repentance is very pleasing to God. Murmuring is the behavior of those blind to the God-pleasing beauty of repentance. Who do you murmur against? How do you think God feels about your murmuring?
