Luke 13

Today we are reading Luke 13. In this chapter we read about Jesus healing on the Sabbath. The keyword for this chapter is “a-po-lu-o”. The definition is “to release, the word is used in medical writers for the releasing from disease;”. “And behold, there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.” And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.” Luke‬ ‭13:11-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Have you ever been freed from something that hung over your life for a long time? This woman in the Bible passage was ill for 18 years! Imagine how her life had been restricted by this illness! Now she was free! Her life was now different in a multitude of ways.  You have been freed by Jesus from the guilt and punishment of your sins. How has your life changed since you have been freed? Wouldn’t you like to be the one to help another person to be freed? Pastor Tim
