Today we are reading Luke 12. In this chapter we read about Jesus speaking about the End Times. The keyword for this chapter is “sun-ek-o-mai”. The definition is “to be afflicted, to suffer”. “”I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled! I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how great is my distress until it is accomplished!” Luke 12:49-50 ESV what exactly is Jesus saying causes Him distress in this passage? Is He concerned about how much He must suffer or is He anxious to complete the task of suffering? What are the things that cause you to be distressed? How do they compare with what Jesus has suffered? May God reveal to you His earnest desire for you to be saved and to bring others to salvation! Pastor Tim
