Today we are reading John 9. In this chapter we read about Jesus healing a man born blind. The keyword for this chapter is is “ble-po”. The definition is “to see, to discern, to understand”. “Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.” John 9:6-7 ESV In this chapter Jesus heals a man of physical blindness but teaches about spiritual blindness. Which is a greater problem? Surgery or corrective lenses can help us to see physically. What can help us to see spiritually? May God give you the Holy Spirit who can open the eyes of your heart. Pastor Tim
