Today we are reading John 7. In this chapter we read about the two different reactions to Jesus. The keyword for this chapter is “skis-ma”. The definition is “division, split”.“So there was a division among the people over him. Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.” John 7:43-44 ESV This word is used to describe the division between believers and unbelievers. This division continues to this day. The reality is that it will last through eternity. This is why it is crucial for us to reach across the division now with the Gospel to bring more people into the Kingdom of God’s Son and our Savior Jesus.
