Today we are reading John 6. In this chapter we read about the Feeding of the 5,000, Jesus Walking on the Water and the Bread of Life Discourse. “Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” John 6:35 ESV It is interesting that Jesus chose to identify himself with bread. Bread is common to the people who were listening to Him. Bread is prominent in many Bible stories. Bread was common then and is common now all over the world. How does your frequent routines with bread remind of who Jesus is and what He has done for you? May the Bread of Life be the Lord of your life! Pastor Tim
