John 5

AToday we are reading John 5. This chapter includes the account of Jesus healing the man at the pool of Bethesda. The keyword for this chapter is “me-ta-bai-no”. The definition is “to go or pass from one place to another, to transfer, to move one’s living quarters”. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭ESV In our lives we have instances when we move from one place to another. For some, like military personnel, this happened often. For others they spent their entire life in the same town. As a pastor I moved to St. Louis for seminary, and then on to Washington, Houston, Minnesota, New Jersey and finally Iowa. Moving can be hard but it can bring many blessings too. What are the blessings in the move Jesus is referring to in verse 24? Who do you know who has made this move? Maybe you be ready by faith to make this move! Pastor Tim
