Today we are reading John 16. In this chapter we read about Jesus teaching and preparing His disciples for His death and resurrection. The keyword for this chapter is “ni-ka-o”. The definition is “to conquer. The tense indicates an abiding victory.” “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”” John 16:33 ESV So many days we have affliction. Jesus tells us to be encouraged because He has conquered the world and all its troubles. What affliction are you enduring right now? No matter what it is, Jesus has conquered it! God is bigger than our problems. Think back to other troubles you have faced…with Jesus you made it through.
