Today we are reading John 16. In this chapter we read about the work of the Holy Spirit, Jesus death and resurrection and the victory that Jesus gives all who believe. “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”” John 16:33 ESV With these words Jesus gives us comfort in our time of distress. When you read the word “tribulation”, what comes to mind? Think of your greatest fears. Think of the most devastating calamities. Think of the things that keep you up at night. To all these things Jesus says, “Take heart”. Don’t give up because Jesus has overcome the world! Trust in Him and He will shelter you in the storm. Pastor Tim
