John 14

Today we are reading John 14. In this chapter we read about Jesus comforting His disciples. The keyword for this chapter is “mo-nay”. The definition is, “dwelling place, permanent abiding places”. “”Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” John‬ ‭14:1-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When we think of Jesus preparing a place for us to live in heaven, we can’t help putting it in our context of temporary. During our lifetime most of us have lived in a variety of places. In Heaven we will enjoy “home” forever. Our dwelling place is permanent. No more downsizing or relocating just peace and joy forever.  May God bless you with thoughts of your dwelling place in Heaven.  Pastor Tim
