Today we are reading John 14. In this chapter we read about Jesus comforting His disciples. The keyword for this chapter is “mo-nay”. The definition is, “dwelling place, permanent abiding places”. “”Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” John 14:1-3 ESV When we think of Jesus preparing a place for us to live in heaven, we can’t help putting it in our context of temporary. During our lifetime most of us have lived in a variety of places. In Heaven we will enjoy “home” forever. Our dwelling place is permanent. No more downsizing or relocating just peace and joy forever.
