John 14

Today we are reading John 14. In this chapter we read about Jesus teaching His disciples about His departure and the coming of the Holy Spirit. “”These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14:25-27‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesus promised to send “the Helper” or Holy Spirit. Why is this a good name for the Holy Spirit? How has the Holy Spirit helped you? Jesus also promises to give us peace. Have you prayed for peace? Jesus concludes with these words, “Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” When you feel afraid, as Jesus to send you the Holy Spirit to comfort you. May you know His peace today! Pastor Tim
