Today we are reading Joel 2. In this chapter we read about the continued destruction of the plague of locusts, the power of repentance and the promised sending of the Holy Spirit. “”Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster.” Joel 2:12-13 ESV Can you think of a time when you were very angry with someone? Did the person apologize for what they did? Did you forgive them? God makes these things clear: when we sin it makes Him very angry. When we repent He forgives us. He commands us to forgive as He has forgiven us. If we do not forgive others HE WILL NOT FORGIVE US! May God give you His Holy Spirit to guide you in these difficult things. Pastor Tim
