Today we are reading Jeremiah 30. In this chapter we read about God’s deliverance and restoration of His people. “For behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will restore the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall take possession of it.”” Jeremiah 30:3 ESV Restoration and deliverance—two wonderful words! Imagine how they inspired hope in the people who received Jeremiah’s prophecy. The people were slaves! Freedom and restoration must have been in their dreams every night.
