Today we are reading Jeremiah 21. In this chapter we read about the king of Judah desperately trying to call on God to deliver him from the Babylonians/Chaldeans. “”Inquire of the Lord for us, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is making war against us. Perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all his wonderful deeds and will make him withdraw from us.””
Jeremiah 21:2 ESV The problem is that it is too late. God tells them that because of their wickedness He has brought the Babylonians to punish them. Those who resist will be killed. Those who surrender will be slaves. Have you ever been faced with such a choice? Many times our own sin brings us to a desperate place. God gives us only one path forward—to confess our sins and return to Him. May God bless you with a broken and contrite heart toward Him. Pastor Tim
