Jeremiah 14

Today we are reading Jeremiah 14. In this chapter we read about all the suffering that has come upon Israel/Judah. They have been led by lying prophets and are suffering greatly. Finally, after rebelling against God repeatedly, they repent. “We acknowledge our wickedness, O Lord, and the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against you. Do not spurn us, for your name’s sake; do not dishonor your glorious throne; remember and do not break your covenant with us. Are there any among the false gods of the nations that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O Lord our God? We set our hope on you, for you do all these things.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭14:20-22‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God’s people repent. This means everything to God. Pride and arrogance bring God’s wrath. Humility and repentance bring God’s grace. May God give you a spirit of humility. Pastor Tim
