Today we are reading James 5. In this chapter we read about patience in suffering and bringing back the one who has wandered from the faith. “Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.” James 5:7-8, 19-20 ESV How can your patience during this time help bring people back to Jesus? Why do you think James concludes his letter with this emphasis on bringing back those who have wandered from the faith? Do you know anyone who has wandered? What can you do to bring them back? Never give up—this is where patience comes in. Never give up in your prayers and in the way you live your life. Stay strong in God’s word. May God equip you with everything you need to serve Him today. Pastor Tim
