Today we are reading James 4. In this chapter James speaks against arrogance. The keyword for this chapter is “ta-pei-no-o”. The definition is “to make low, to humble, to humble one’s self.” “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.” James 4:10 In this chapter James makes it clear how important humility is to God. How important is humility to you? How many close friends do you have that are arrogant? How does their arrogance hinder your friendship? How do you humble yourself before the Lord? How does being humble bless you? How does your humility bless others? May God give you a spirit of humility so that He will be glorified through you! Pastor Tim
