Today we are reading James 4. Today we are reading about the importance of being humble. “Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.” James 4:6-8, 10 ESV Who do you know that is arrogant? How do you feel about being around them? Arrogance is a major turnoff for people who are emotionally healthy. Who do you know who is humble and gracious? How do you feel when you spend time with them? So, can you see why the Scriptures repeatedly tell us to be humble? Humility pleases God and it pleases those around you. May God give you a spirit of humility today and every day! Pastor Tim
