Today we are reading Isaiah 52. In this chapter we read about the coming salvation of our God and then the chapter concludes with the description of the suffering servant of God. “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” The voice of your watchmen—they lift up their voice; together they sing for joy; for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion. Break forth together into singing, you waste places of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem.” Isaiah 52:7-9 ESV In this prophecy we read about the Messiah that will come. With prophecy there is always a “now/not yet” fulfillment. The “now” was that God would eventually free His people from their captors. The “not yet” was that Jesus the Messiah would come 700 years later. As Christians we trust in Jesus as our Savior. We receive the promised blessings of His coming. How is your life different because Jesus came? May God increase in you a full knowledge of every good thing we have in Jesus. Pastor Tim
