Today we are reading Isaiah 45. In this chapter we read about how God uses Cyrus for the good of Israel. “I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the Lord, who does all these things. “Shower, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain down righteousness; let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit; let the earth cause them both to sprout; I the Lord have created it.” Isaiah 45:7-8 ESV Why do you think God might create calamity? How would our world be different if God rained down righteousness? This seems like a time of calamity for us. How have you grown spiritually during the pandemic? How might God be preparing the unbelievers for salvation? God’s righteousness would be in stark contrast to the gross immorality we see around us. May God use us to bring His righteousness to our friends and neighbors. Pastor Tim
