Today we are reading Isaiah 42. In this chapter we read about three things: 1) The coming of the Messiah, 2) A song of praise to The Lord and 3) The failure of Israel to see and hear God’s message. The description of the Messiah is awesome, “Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.” Isaiah 42:1 ESV As you read verses 1-9, apply these words yo your own life. How does this messianic prophecy comfort you? As we look forward to the Second Coming of Jesus we know that all these words will be fulfilled for us. All of the things we struggle with now will be replaced with peace and joy. May this joy fill your heart today! Pastor Tim
