Today we are reading Isaiah 35. In this chapter we read about the salvation of our God. The messianic prophecy is ultimately fulfilled in Jesus but there was also an contemporary salvific event. “Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;” Isaiah 35:4-6 ESV Think of the people Isaiah was writing to. How did his prophecy comfort them? When Jesus returns He will deliver us from every trouble in this world. However, it is also appropriate to expect and pray for God to come and help us now. What do you most need God’s help with right now? Trust Him and pray without ceasing! God hears your prayers! Pastor Tim
