Isaiah 31

Today we are reading Isaiah 31. In this chapter we read about the folly of those who look to Egypt for help and deliverance. God promises that the enemies of God’s people will not be defeated by Egypt but by God Himself. “”And the Assyrian shall fall by a sword, not of man; and a sword, not of man, shall devour him; and he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be put to forced labor.” Isaiah‬ ‭31:8‬ ‭ESV God doesn’t need human armies to win His battle. He simply requires that we believe in Him. How are you comforted by the fact that God is not dependent upon the resources we can see to accomplish His will and do good for us? In the same way, God is infinitely more powerful than the enemies we face. May God calm your fears with an awareness of His power and love! Pastor Tim
