Today we are reading Isaiah 30. In this chapter we read about rebellious people chasing every possible alternative to trusting in God. “”Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord, “who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the shelter in the shadow of Egypt to your humiliation.” Isaiah 30:1-3 ESV When have you carried out a plan that was not God’s plan? What the result when we go against God’s plan or fail to ask Him for direction? How does God view these choices? Have you repented of your sin? May God guide you in all your ways that they might be pleasing to Him and a blessing to you. Pastor Tim
