Isaiah 3

Today we are reading Isaiah 3. In this chapter we read about Isaiah prophesying about the desolation of Judah/Jerusalem after they experience the judgement of the Lord. Jerusalem fell in 586 B.C. The Temple was destroyed along with most of the city. During that time many Jews were carried off as slaves to Babylon. Isaiah is writing about this event before it happens. What similar event have we been warned about? As you read Isaiah’s prophecy you will no doubt recognize many passages. Isaiah is quoted more times in the New Testament than any other book. Which verses do you recognize in today’s reading? God bless you as you eagerly await the Lord’s return.  Pastor Tim
