Isaiah 29

Today we are reading Isaiah 29. In this chapter we read about the siege of Jerusalem but in a surprising twist the chapter concludes with a restoration of “the House of Jacob (Israel)”. “Therefore thus says the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no more be ashamed, no more shall his face grow pale. For when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in his midst, they will sanctify my name; they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob and will stand in awe of the God of Israel. And those who go astray in spirit will come to understanding, and those who murmur will accept instruction.”” Isaiah‬ ‭29:22-24‬ ‭ESV Why do you think a chapter about the destruction of Israel concludes with restoration? What does this say about God’s desire for those He loves? What does God desire for you? May you be constantly aware of His great love for you. Pastor Tim
