Today we are reading Isaiah 22. In this chapter we read God’s word of judgement against Jerusalem. The graphic descriptions of the invading army show a total defeat of Israel.“For the Lord God of hosts has a day of tumult and trampling and confusion in the valley of vision, a battering down of walls and a shouting to the mountains. And Elam bore the quiver with chariots and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield. Your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen took their stand at the gates.” Isaiah 22:5-7 ESV The defeat of God’s people is so complete that every place of beauty and glory is trampled and decimated by the foreign powers through whom God is punishing them. Have you ever been in a difficult time so much so that it touches every part of your life? How did you get through it? God is greater than our biggest problem and can help us through impossible situations. May He give you hope and peace as He goes before you and prepares your path for blessings! Pastor Tim
