Isaiah 2

Today we are reading Isaiah 2. In this chapter Isaiah receives another vision where God speaks against Judah and Jerusalem. What is the land described as being full of? What modern-day parallels can you see between our country and Judah/Jerusalem? What is God against in chapter two? Isaiah writes about the “Day of the Lord”. “The haughty looks of man shall be brought low, and the lofty pride of men shall be humbled, and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day. For the Lord of hosts has a day against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up—and it shall be brought low. And the haughtiness of man shall be humbled, and the lofty pride of men shall be brought low, and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.” Isaiah‬ ‭2:11-12, 17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ As you read these words, what sort of day will it be? How can you prepare for that day? Pastor Tim
