Today we are reading Isaiah 15. In this chapter we read about God’s word of judgement against Moab. Take a moment and do a google search and read about conflict between Israel and Moab. The hostility between Israel and the Moabites/descendants of Lot goes back hundreds of years. The country of Moab is located within the boarders of modern-day Jordan, east of the Dead Sea. In Isaiah’s time the Moabites are part of the foreign powers God uses to punish wayward Israel. Now, in chapter 15, God is saying they will also be destroyed for worshipping false gods.“An oracle concerning Moab. Because Ar of Moab is laid waste in a night, Moab is undone; because Kir of Moab is laid waste in a night, Moab is undone.” Isaiah 15:1 ESV Everyone is accountable to God. Everyone will stand before Him on Judgement Day. When you think of that day, what thoughts come to mind? In Jesus’ name we have been washed clean of our sins so only that which is done in Christ will remain. Our judgement has already been placed on Jesus and we are forgiven and free. Pastor Tim
