Today we are reading Isaiah 1. In this chapter we read about unfaithful Israel and how their religious practices no longer please God. Even so, they are called to repentance and promised forgiveness. “”Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah 1:18-20 ESV Think of a time you rebelled against your parents or spoke evil of your boss. Did they reach out to you in reconciliation? That is what God is saying to rebellious Israel. “Come now, let us reason together…” what a beautiful example for we who are offended by rebellion. May God give you a heart of reconciliation! Pastor Tim
