Today we are reading Hosea 13. In this chapter we read about how the brutality of war is inflicted on everyone including children and pregnant women. The problem of Israel’s rebellion is traced back to their desire to have a king.
“Where now is your king, to save you in all your cities? Where are all your rulers— those of whom you said, “Give me a king and princes”? I gave you a king in my anger, and I took him away in my wrath.” Hosea 13:10-11 ESV Have you ever desired something that led you away from God? When did you allow someone or something to become more important in your life than God? How did that impact your relationship with God? What problems or pain came into your life as a result?
