Hebrews 4

Today we are reading Hebrews 4. In this chapter we read about the importance of remaining in the Christian faith and the power of God’s word. “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When we read the Bible we need to remember that we approach Scripture with humility and we allow it to be elevated above our thoughts and feelings. This submission to God’s word does not come naturally for us. In our sinfulness we want to be in charge. We want God to submit to our logic and philosophy. We want to be God. How do you submit to God? What are some examples of how God’s word rules over you? May you experience the joy of know God is on the throne and He rules for your good. Pastor Tim
