Today we are reading Hebrews 3. In this chapter we read about those who diligently followed God and those who rebelled. The keyword for this chapter is “pis-tos”. The definition is “trusty, faithful, of persons who show themselves faithful in the transaction of business, the execution of commands, or the discharge of official duties.” “Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.” Hebrews 3:5-6 The emphasis in this chapter is on Jesus’ faithfulness. What does it mean to you that Jesus was faithful? How do you benefit from His faithfulness? Do you believe God calls you to be faithful? How do you demonstrate your faithfulness to God? Pastor Tim
