Genesis 6

Today we are reading Genesis 6. In this chapter we read about why God destroyed the living things with the flood. “The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis‬ ‭6‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What is your response to the wickedness in our world? Do you grieve for people to follow God’s ways? Do you hunger and thirst for righteousness? It seems very discouraging that this mess started with two people in the garden. The one bright spot was that Noah found favor with God. How do you feel when you see someone standing up for Jesus? When have you taken a stand to defend the weak or comfort the hopeless? May God use you to be a bright spot of faith to the people around you. Pastor Tim
