Today we are reading Galatians 6. As Paul concludes his letter to the Galatians, he writes about Christians caring for each other. The keyword for this chapter is “kat-ar-tid-zo”. The definition is “to restore, to correct. It is used especially as a surgical term, of setting a bone or joint.” “Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:1-2 ESV The idea here is that someone who has sinned is in need of restoration. They need help like a person with a broken bone or dislocated joint. Who is to help such a person? How do you help? What is the warning Paul gives? May God use you to restore a person who has fallen away. Pastor Tim
