Today we are reading Exodus 11. In this chapter we are reading about the Lord granting the Hebrews favor as they leave Israel. “The Lord said to Moses, “Yet one plague more I will bring upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt. Afterward he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will drive you away completely. Speak now in the hearing of the people, that they ask, every man of his neighbor and every woman of her neighbor, for silver and gold jewelry.” And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people.” Exodus 11:1-3 ESV This is such an interesting side note to the account of the last plague. “The Lord gave the people favor”. God takes care of us, even among unbelievers. He grants us favor in unexpected ways. In the midst of our struggle, God provides for our needs and protects us. How has the Lord granted you favor? Has God used you to be the favor He grants to others? God bless you and keep you! Pastor Tim
