Today we are reading Ephesians 5. In this chapter we read about walking in a way that pleases God. “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.” Ephesians 5:15-21 ESV How can you walk carefully. If we are talking about physically walking, we carefully place our steps. We make sure we step where the ground is solid and safe. If it is dark we carry a light. God’s word guides us like a light for our path. When we drink too much, we are likely to be careless in our steps. When we are filled with the Spirit, we are a blessing to everyone around us. May you walk today in such a way that God’s love is evident in all you do. Pastor Tim
