Ephesians 2

Today we are reading Ephesians 2. In this chapter we read about how we are part of God’s building, the church. “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:19-22‬ ‭This description of the family of God has several key parts. First, the foundation is made up of God’s word—the apostles (New Testament) and the prophets (Old Testament). Second, Jesus is the cornerstone. Without God’s word there is no church. Without Jesus there is no church. Modern Christianity has some parts that are abandoning God’s word. They are no longer Christian.  How can we encourage our Christian friends to remain faithful to God’s word? Where are you tempted to weaken the authority of the Bible in your faith? May Gods make you steadfast and strong! Pastor Tim
