Today we are reading Colossians 1. In this chapter Paul describes what Jesus has done for all believers. The keyword for this chapter is “me-thist-ay-mi”. The definition is “ to remove from one place to another, to transfer. The word was often used to signify deportation of a body of men or the removal of them to form a colony.” “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13-14 ESV In your life experience can you think of a time when you moved from one city to another? Why did you move? Normally, there is a purpose behind our movement. Have you ever pondered why God has placed you where you are? In your conversion God affected your personal salvation. He has brought you into Christ’s kingdom for a purpose—to spread the Gospel! How are you currently spreading the Gospel where you are? May God give you the Holy Spirit to reach your neighbors for Christ! Pastor Tim
