Today we are reading Amos 7. In this chapter we read about warning visions and a prophecy against Israel. “Therefore thus says the Lord: “‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided up with a measuring line; you yourself shall die in an unclean land, and Israel shall surely go into exile away from its land.'”” Amos 7:17 ESV As Amos faithfully prophesies what God tells him, he meets opposition. The opposition comes in the form of threats. The truth is the truth, however, and it cannot be silenced. So it must be with us. When what God gives us to say (His Word) is counter-culture, we must say it anyway. The truth sets people free so we must proclaim the truth. May God give you the Holy Spirit to guide you in all truth. Pastor Tim
