Today we are reading Acts 7. Chapter 7 tells the account of Stephen and his testimony against the Jews during his trial. Stephen lays out the history of the Jews and culminates the account by accusing them killing Jesus the Messiah. The keyword for this chapter is “an-ti-pip-to.” The definition of this word is “to fall against, to resist.” This word is found in verse 51 where Stephen says, “you always resist the Holy Spirit.” The Jews missed out on the whole “Jesus the Messiah “ thing because of the sinful stubbornness in their hearts. Are you missing out on God’s blessings because you “resist the Holy Spirit?” I’m sure we all fall in that temptation from time to time. May God soften your heart towards Him today! Pastor Tim
