Today we are reading through Acts 6. In this chapter we read about the growth of the early Christian church. As their numbers grew, it was necessary to bring alongside additional ministry leaders and commission them to support the ministry of the Gospel. The keyword for this chapter is “aux-a-no”. The definition is “to grow, this verb form specifically indicates a continual growth”. As the disciples continued to preach the Word of God it continued increasing in influence and effect. God’s Word is living and active and through it the Holy Spirit works to create faith in the hearts of the hearers. How has God’s Word been active in your life?
