Acts 4

Today we are reading through Acts 4. In this chapter we see a powerful exchange between the Holy Spirit filled Disciples and the leaders of the the Jews.  On the one hand the power of God is at work as the Gospel is proclaimed.  On the other hand the devil is working to oppose the Gospel.  The keyword for this chapter is de-o-mai.  The definition for this word is “to pray, to make a request.” In the face of persecution the disciples gather together and pray. What are they asking for? How does God respond to their prayers?  You can be confident that God hears your prayers and supplies what you need most.  For the disciples it was all about Jesus—even in their prayers.  What do you pray about?  God bless you and keep you today and every day!
