Acts 28

Today we are reading Acts 28. This is the final chapter of Acts and I always want more!  What else happened? Who were the next great missionaries to follow Paul? At any rate, this is what God has given us so let’s take a look at this final chapter. The key word in this chapter is “a-po-de-ko-mai”. The definition of this verb is “to receive, to welcome”. Luke uses this word to describe how Paul welcomed everyone who visited him. “He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.” Acts‬ ‭28:30-31‬ What a perfect description of Paul in the final years of his life.  He is completely consumed by the task of proclaiming the Gospel. Imagine if we did the same as Paul, welcoming everyone and proclaiming and teaching God’s word! May God give you the Holy Spirit so that you can continue the work of Paul with the same zeal and commitment!  Pastor Tim
