Acts 25

Today we are reading Acts 25. In this chapter we read about Paul on trial before Festus, the Jews and King Herod Agrippa. “But Paul said, “I am standing before Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you yourself know very well. If then I am a wrongdoer and have committed anything for which I deserve to die, I do not seek to escape death. But if there is nothing to their charges against me, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar.” Then Festus, when he had conferred with his council, answered, “To Caesar you have appealed; to Caesar you shall go.””
‭‭Acts‬ ‭25:10-12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Tod defend himself against the relentless attacks of the Jews, Paul once again claims the rights afforded to him as a Roman citizen—the right to appeal to Caesar. He succeeds in escaping the Jews again but now he will be on trial before the most powerful man in the empire. The Jews sought to destroy Paul and silence him. Their pressure actually forced open doors for Paul to preach the Gospel. How has your hardship opened doors for you to share the Gospel? Are there any doors you have not yet walked through? May God show you the doors He has opened for you to be His witness. Pastor Tim
